Born in Israel, 1973, to Moroccan parents.
At the age of 23 Maya relocated to the Galilee Mountain- North of Israel.
She founded “The Sacred Herb” Herbal Store.
Living with a tribe of musicians, healers and artists,
Maya was enchanted by the music. She found dancing to be her tool to
Activate ancient memories. Following her passion, she met with  her first mentor Miri Alon, a master of Oriental Dance and the Self-Expression movement.
Maya then went on a quest for 7 years, as she traveled the world gaining vast knowledge of indigenous cultures. The love for Rumi's poems brought her to Konia, Turkey, where she spent time with the Sufis. There she learned the Dervish whirling dance, opening the center within the heart.  From Morocco to India, living and traveling with the Gypsies, she learned the art of letting go of the dancer and becoming the dance.
In 2000 Maya arrived to Los Angeles, Ca
She opened “Mulana”- Divine Dance Center.
